Mate is Argentina's national drink and just like the country itself the taste is strong and fiery with peppery notes. It is prepared by steeping dried, chopped & crushed leaves of yerba mate then mixed into a paste before hot water is added. It can be drunk culturally and shared in a group or enjoyed like a regular cup of tea for the taste.
